Most Recent Accomplishments
-Fiscal sponsorship established through the Asia Foundation
-Finalizing a grant for capacity building through the American Embassy.
-Received a grant from China Orphan AIDS Fund to implement an activity/resource
center aimed at moving towards community based orphan care and alleviating
discrimination of HIV/AIDS affected families.
-Finalizing a grant from AUSAID
A Brief History of Major Accomplishments:
- 2003, Began financial assistance of 20 AIDS orphans from Shangqiusui County,
providing for their living and educational expenses;
- Oct. 2003 - Mar. 2004, Set up the "Orchid School" in the Liang Yuan District of
Shangqiu City, providing free education to 23 AIDS orphans and children who been
deprived of educational opportunity;
- June 2004, Activities at the Orchid Summer Camp began at the Orchid School;
- July 2004-present， "1 on 1" assistance program officially began, finding longterm
financial assistance for 180 AIDS orphans from Shang Qiu and other areas;
- 2004, Organized a site seeing trip to Beijing for 11 AIDS orphans and children on
June 1st, International Children's Day;
- 2004, Together with “Zhejiang University Red Ribbon Association” jointly
organized a sightseeing trip for several children to the "Ancient Capital of Seven
Dynasties" (Kaifeng, Henan) on Chinese National Day;
- 2005, Took three AIDS children to Beijing for sightseeing and health exams on
June 1st, International Children's Day;
- July, 2005， Together with “Zhejiang University Red Ribbon Association” jointly
organized a "Hangzhou Summer Camp Activity" for 10 Henan AIDS orphans;
