Dongjen Center for Education and Action

Who We Are

The China Orchid AIDS Project (COAP), formerly the China Orchid Children's Psychology Research Institute, is a not-for-profit social welfare organization.

Founded in January of 2003, it was formally registered in March 2004 at the Ministry of Business and Commerce in Beijing's Haidian District. In September 2004 it became a member of China's Association for the Prevention and Treatment of STDs/AIDS. In April 2005 its name was officially changed to the China Orchid AIDS Project at the Ministry of Business and Commerce in Beijing's Haidian District.

Since 2003, COAP has been devoted to providing assistance and advocacy for families in Henan who have been affected by HIV/AIDS, particularly children orphaned by AIDS. With an emphasis on the ideals of human worth and humane care, COAP, through non-government channels, aims to provide assistance to AIDS orphans and HIV/AIDS affected families.

COAP is now the Dongjen Center for Education and Action.
